Trump não se tornou famoso pelo apego ao rigor e à verdade. Ainda assim, no que respeita à pandemia Covid-19 superou-se a si próprio. Como diz a anedota, ele não causou danos à verdade porque não se aproximou dela o suficiente. Alguns exemplos:
