If you think that after only 14 months Donald Trump is about to lose MAGA's support, think again. Firstly, because a devotee who has spent 14 months striving to justify one thing today and its opposite tomorrow, and accepting in the end a third different thing will be done, doesn't give up easily. In short, as he says, MAGA is himself.

How is all this possible, a rational mind might ask? At the risk of oversimplifying, I will say that history offers us several similar examples of herd behavior.
