Rufus T. Firefly, played by Groucho Marx, is an eccentric dictator who wants to be president of Freedonia in the Marx Brothers' movie Duck Soup. Rufus says through Groucho's mouth in his inaugural speech as Prime Minister of Freedonia, "Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others."

Unlike Rufus, Mr. Trump would say, "Today these are my principles that you should like. Tomorrow they will be others, and you should like them too."

That's why it's much harder to be a devotee of Donald Trump than to be a fan of Groucho Marx, and that's why we should admire the former more than the latter.
