Back to the massive deportation of illegal immigrants (“unauthorized population”) that, according to Mr. Trump are 15 to 20 million and according to the Migration Policy Institute are 11,047,000. If the 11 million were deported like Mr. Trump assured, we could imagine that the majority are criminals, drug dealers or drug addicts or dog eaters, but for the MPI 6,829,000 (65%) of the 10,434,000 people over 16 years old are employed in the following activities:

Estimates by the Peterson Institute for International Economics for the effects of deporting 8 million immigrants are a reduction in US GDP by 2028 by 7%. What would be the impact on the economy if, for example, 1.4 million or 18% of a total of 7.9 million construction workers were deported? Huge, I would say. 

And how would the Trump administration get the cooperation of the Mexican government for this massive deportation that would directly affect several million Mexicans? Perhaps reactivating the previously made threat to bomb gangs in Mexico to stop fentanyl production.
