Encalhados numa ruga do contínuo espaço-tempo (32) - Estaline reincarnado

«Show me the man,” ran an infamous Stalin-era adage, “and I will find you the crime.” Its Putin-era complement might be: “Give me the crime, and I will supply the most convenient culprit.” That seems to be the rationale of those investigating last week’s murder of Boris Nemtsov, an opposition politician, outside the Kremlin. Among the self-serving, ludicrous theories circulated by Russian functionaries are that either the beleaguered opposition itself, or its alleged sponsor, America’s CIA, killed Mr Nemtsov to embarrass Vladimir Putin. But the most promising lead, investigators apparently think, is that the assassination may be connected to the president’s latest bogeyman: Ukraine.» (The Economist Espresso)
