Um Romney flip-flopper, mesmo aditivado com um Ryan, arrisca-se a não conseguir mobilizar todo o potencial eleitorado republicano e, ainda mais dificilmente, o eleitorado independente para conseguir derrotar o Grande Parlapatão. Por isso, muito provavelmente Michelle Obama ficará mais 4 anos a tratar dos legumes na sua horta da Casa Branca.

Para 2016, o GOP já tem um bom candidato. Condoleeza Rice no seu discurso na Convenção Republicana colocou-se sobre os tacos de partida.
