Não vou contar a estória de Peter Munk que está aqui contada. Vou apenas reter a sua filantropia e as suas lições de vida relatadas pela Economist:
«Mr Munk is less troubled by the prospect of failure this time around. He plans to give almost all of his fortune to charity, and has already made a start by giving $160m to hospitals and universities in Canada and Israel. He wishes to spare his children the curse of too much inherited wealth. Take it from a man who knows a thing or two about success or failure: there are few things more dangerous than making life too easy.»
Acrescento um juízo de Munk sobre si próprio que poderia ser uma outra lição de vida para a legião de patetas, convencidos da sua genialidade, cujo talento se resume a explicar com estudado diletantismo a invisível diferença entre seu putativo talento e a falta dele:
«I'm not exactly an Einstein, so I compensate by being more focused»
